State Eligibility Test (SET)

University of Pune as State Agency conducts
a State Eligibility Test (SET) for determining eligibility of candidates for
recruitment as Lecturer in faculties of Arts, Mental, Moral & Social
Sciences, Commerce, Science, Law and Education, in Universities
and affiliated Colleges in Maharashtra. Candidates are required to clear NET
of UGC or SET of Government of Maharashtra
or SLET of any State Agency accredited by UGC.
The SET is conducted at Mumbai, Pune, Kolhapur,
Nasik, Jalgaon, Aurangabad, Nanded, Amravati, Nagpur, Solapur, Chandrapur and
Goa Centres, in February in the subjects of Marathi, Hindi, English, History,
Economics, Philosophy, Psychology, Sociology, Political Science, International
Relations & Area
Studies, Home Science, Library and Information Science, Journalism and Mass
Communication, Social Work, Public Administration, Mathematics Science,
Environmental Science, Physical Science, Chemical Science, Life Science,
Geology, Computer Science & Application,
Electronics Science, Commerce, Law, Education and Physical Education. The test
in Geography will be conducted according to new syllabus.
Eligibility:
Candidates other than SC/ST who have secured at least 55% marks (without
gracing) and SC/ST candidates with at least 50% marks (without gracing) in Master's
degree or equivalent examination are eligible for this test. Candidates who
have appeared or are appearing at the final year of qualifying two years
Master's degree course may are eligible to apply for this test.
Application form and prospectus can be had on payment of requisite charges
by D.D. payable to Registrar, University
of Pune, Pune 411007 on State Bank of India
or Bank of Maharashtra from any Centre or SET Section, University of Pune,
in person or by post.
